With Frequentum from Munich, the software-as-a-service provider epilot is expanding its range of partners: Frequentum offers consulting and planning solutions for the development of charging infrastructure in the housing industry for the energy sector at several locations nationwide, with the aim of supporting the mobility and energy transition.

Together with our partners, we want to launch smart and sophisticated solutions for the industry. And this efficiently, quickly and sustainably for all market participants. The partnership with Frequentum serves all of this: While we digitally map customer-focused end-to-end processes from lead generation to technical implementation to active customer management in the areas of (non), commodity, and grid with our e-commerce solution, Frequentum takes over the planning of charging infrastructure on behalf of the utilities after an on-site appointment. With planning and costing complete, utilities can then use regional service providers or their own resources to take over the distribution and construction of the basic technology, the charging stations and the operation of the charging technology controlled via epilot“, explains Michel Nicolai, founder and CEO of epilot.

Michael König, CEO and Founder at Frequentum, adds, “Just like epilot, we want to relieve energy suppliers, grid operators, and the housing industry in their day-to-day business and thus enable them to seize new opportunities in the growth market of electromobility. This is of particular interest to small and mid-sized utilities that still want to serve a large percentage of local multifamily properties with limited resources.

Possible process for setting up charging infrastructure for energy suppliers

Requests from condominium associations and landlords are collected digitally via epilot. After that, a three-step procedure starts.

  1. Planning: energy providers offer inquiring property managers an initial building check and bidding through their website with epilot. The resulting digital request is given to the partner Frequentum via epilot’s partner control. Frequentum performs the initial building check on site and plans the utility’s possible charging infrastructure – the utility is informed about Frequentum’s activities at all times due to the fully automated processing of requests including partner management in the epilot platform.
  2. Sales/rental of basic technology: Frequentum prepares a suitable offer for the municipal utilities, which the utilities can forward to the end customer on their behalf. The offer can be adapted in coordination with all partners involved and results in an order for the basic technology to the energy supplier.
  3. Sale/rental of charging stations: In addition, the energy supplier then sells/rents the appropriate charging stations to the private customers in the apartment building.

The contract for the basic technology and charging stations can then be carried out by the energy supplier with its regional partner companies. The partners are integrated into the process chain at the right interface in each case. This guarantees correct processing of the individual work orders.

With the expanded epilot partner network, which in addition to service partners also includes e.g. consulting firms, system integrators or third-party apps, the energy industry can now build on a broad portfolio of more than 30 partners in the epilot ecosystem to focus on its core business and tap into new business areas.
